This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, free anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that holds the record.
Sheriff and Jail Contact
Sheriff Justin Cordry's office and the Washington County Jail share the county Law Enforcement Center. The official facility contact is listed as available 24 hours a day, every day. That does not mean records inspection is available at all hours, so ask when a record can be reviewed before traveling.
Washington County Sheriff and Jail
Address: 301 B Street, Washington, KS 66968
Phone: 785-325-2293, extension 1 for jail questions
Fax: 785-325-2924
Facility contact: 24/7/365
The Sheriff publishes a $10 fee for an offense or incident report requested in person during office hours or in writing. No separate booking-release or booking-photo fee is published. Ask the office for the current charge and method before submitting that type of request.
Washington County Court Records
A court case can preserve the durable local history after a person leaves the jail. The dedicated Washington County District Court page lists the clerk's office at P.O. Box 235, 214 C Street, Washington, KS 66968. Call 785-325-3265 first; the listed fax is 785-325-2655. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The county directory also lists 785-325-2381 and fax 785-325-2557. Confirm the current contact before a visit. The Kansas District Court Public Access Portal is the online starting point. Court copy and certification fees are separate from Sheriff report charges.
